I loved seeing Renwichs perspective and how long he has actually been going against his family! Like holy crap. Also the flashes he gets of Rua are *mwah* chefs kiss. I feel bad for how much the visions pain him but still love it. And now I feel bad for hating on him during The High Mountain Court even more.

Wow, this novella was intense! I have such a better understanding of Renwick and all he went through to hide who he really was from his psychotic father and Uncle. It helped me to understand just how deeply Renwick felt he was unworthy and how he escaped these feelings for so long.

This one didn't grip me quite like the other books/novellas, but that's ok! I am still invested ❤️

You get more Renwick action! I always thought he was more of a supporting character than Hale was in High Mountain Court next to Remi.
