This book was SO MUCH BETTER than the first one! A grump/sunshine marriage of convenience trope at its finest!

yeeeah, so I read the second book. dk why /facepalm/
tbh, if the first one was about 'they met, they fucked, they married', I'll sum up my review with this one as 'they met, they married, they fucked.'
so it basically comes to what sequence you're after.

the writing is not good, the plot is absent, the spicy part is very so-so.

4.5 stars . I read this is one day it was that good . Declan and iris’s relationship was so sweet. Even though Declan was frustrated with the situation that his grandfather put him in he always respected iris. I also loved cal and iris’s relationship and how he stood up for her despite it being against his brother. I thought the pacing was perfect and we got to see them slowly falling in love. The third act brake up was inevitable ( though I wish it wasn’t) but I loved how he remembered all the small things about her . Making his grand gesture more intimate and truly thought out. Iris’s struggles with dislexia were well represented and incorporated into the story. He changed the font on the whole buisness for her . Need I say more

despite pregnancy being a prominent aspect of this story, which is one of my most hated tropes if you know me, I still couldn't resist giving this 5 stars. i thought the characters, Iris especially, were hilarious, the banter was phenomenal, and the huge ridiculous gestures Declan does to prove his love were admittedly so freakin cute. one part where Iris was expressing some negative emotions made me cry because it was so relatable to some of my past relationships. I swooned and squealed through so much of this nearly-500pg book, and I can't wait to read more of Cal's story in the final book of the series because he also made this one so much more entertaining, as he is besties with Iris. he's such a good, supportive friend to her, and I loved how he served as Declan's voice of reason in this story. marriage of convenience might just be one of my new favorite romance tropes after reading this book!

Liked this even more than the last one!
I liked how long the relationship took, that they were working on it even towards the end of the book.
It was better written too, compared to the last one

If there is 2 chapters in a row that’s in the perspective of the same character, just put them together, I get why sometimes they aren’t put together, but not in this book, 2 Iris chapters in a row, make it 1 chapter
