NINO. This book summed everything up from the first 3 books, and it was beautiful and definitely necessary.

Nando's Spice Rating - Hot

That got dramatic! Argh my favourite couple are back again!!!!

You 100% have to read Twisted Emotions and Twisted Pride before this one - it isn't a standalone!

The main reason this is not 5 stars is the fact that the first 40% of the book or so, is the events of Twisted Pride from Nino and Kiara's POV. I think this book was supposed to be a novella because it definitely has those vibes. When I read Bounded by Love, that was also a retelling of previous books and I didn't like that but this is the Falcone's and I wayyy prefer them. So even though I don't know how much this book contributed to the whole Camorra Chronicle storyline, I still enjoyed it.

Something that surprised me is how heavily this book deals with Nino and Kiara's struggles to conceive. It was actually heart-breaking as it became more difficult for them. I love that they had a great support system around them as well. Ok no spoilers but Remo's conversation with Kiara after she found out she wasn't pregnant again made me fall in love with Remo. Their relationship I think has had so much growth from Twisted Emotions.

This book sets Twisted Hearts up quite nicely. Savio takes more of a prominent role in this book and I love him. I love his relationship with Kiara, it's so cute. We also see Gemma again in this one and see her interactions with Savio a little more which makes me so excited for Savio and Gemma's book now. And Savio's nickname for Greta ("Doll Face") is just so cute.

I liked seeing the Falcone's so domestic in this book and this book overall so its 4.5 stars for me

“Sometimes I feel like my insides are a raging flood of emotions when I look at you, but I don’t mind drowning.”

Twisted Bonds is a continuation of Nino’s and Kiara’s love story from Twisted Emotions, but covers the majority of events of Twisted Pride from a completely different perspective. This time around, I was happy with the character development of both Kiara and Nino, it finally felt complete. They were still pretty much damaged but not completely broken beyond repair. They continued to be the strength of one another, and their love bloomed beautifully, transforming the nature of their relationship yet again. There were so many emotional scenes illustrated and heavy topics discussed in the book.

“Life’s fucking unfair. It wants to crush you, but you can’t let the bitch win. You’ve got to force her to play by your rules.”

I was very happy to see how every character from previous books got an important cameo in this one and really enjoyed seeing how the four brothers managed to face the ghosts of their past and overcome the difficulties together. The change in the dynamics among the Falcones brought their connection to a completely different level. They went through a lot in this book but never lost sight of what was important in life (well, maybe except for Adamo). The family aspect was strong as ever on the foreground. I’m sorry and not sorry to say that the highlight of Twisted Bonds was definitely the relationship between Kiara and Remo (OMG my baby was so precious). It felt significant to get to know Savio and Adamo a little bit better, and that made me really excited about their respective books.

“All of us have experienced horrors in our past but we’ll create a beautiful future together.”

I like nino and kiara but i don't really feel like we need their povs during every moment, especially on things that have happened. This book was basically what they were up to during remo's book. I'm glad i finally know who alessia & massimo are. The family aspect of the falcones was cute. Nothing much happened tho.

——AN EASY READ FOR A HARD DAY.

SYNOPSIS :

Kiara’s facing some troubles of her own as she continues to be the caretaker of the Falcone household whilst the Falcone brothers face the demons of their past together.

CHARACTERS :

Tbh i found Kiara somewhat annoying in book 2 because she was this helpless woman who literally flinched in every time a man breathed however she’s come a long way from there and I really like the strong armour she’s put on now. I love her personal relationship with every Falcone brother due to which Savio has grown on me and I’m anticipating his book.

Nino also has come a long way dealing with emotions and you see that change in him however again I had found his lack of emotions thing weird and senseless in book 2 but here we got a more vivid explanation for it - that he’s always been a quiet kid even b4 their mother traumatised them which made his issue with his emotions worse which to me makes more sense than that just happening because of his mom since he didn’t even have a close relationship with her to being with.

ROMANCE :

Again I wasn’t the biggest fan of that romance because I didn’t know why Nino ever fell for her in book 2 but now I’ve come to like them more as couple.

Nino is the same considerate man when it comes to Kiara and damn his love for her know no lengths even if he doesn’t completely understand that emotion himself. I really appreciated Kiara putting in more efforts in their relationship than last time and I love her for loving Nino just the way he is.

Their was quite a lot of smut in here than last time too as they both are trying out new things in bed and though it was decent the timing was not great.

3/5 on the spice scale
