“Sometimes I feel like my insides are a raging flood of emotions when I look at you, but I don’t mind drowning.”

We’re back with Kiara and Nino Falcone!
Oh my goodness I love them! As the Falcone family grows, Kiara’s baby fever grows too. Sometimes it doesn’t come so easy for a couple and this book highlights a journey to parenthood for Kiara and Nino.

Trigger warning:

child abuse in this book.
I wasn’t prepared and it was hard to read.
I’m someone going through infertility (after three kids. It’s a mindfuck) so reading about a newborn being starved and burned and dumped in a trash can..
My heart.

this was just an adorable book! it's the equivalent to Bound by Love but different…
it was so good and so amazing to get to see Nino and Kiara again and see their story from their POV. I think their interactions are always so sweet and amazing. the way Nino protects Kiara and shows her how much he loves her is just so dreamy and the way Kiara opens up to Nino and creates space for him in her is a true lesson about love and trauma and fighting back. she also tries to find space for the other Falcone brothers in herself which is also wholesome and heartwarming. and recently Fabiano!
the fact that Kiara has decided she wants kids makes for a very interesting plotline as it explores themes that are not very usual in books, specially these kind of books. I think its importante representation and it opened up some interesting debates.
this is definitely one of the best books so far! its very focused on relationships and trauma (as most of the books in this series, now that I think about it) and I'm here for it, it was amazing!!

This is definitely my favorite Camorra Chronicles book. Kiara was so vulnerable in this book, but she also stayed strong through all her struggles. My heart went out to her during this book. It was so fitting how her and Nino adopted. I was sobbing and squealing when they found Alessio, when they were with him at the hospital, and all other scenes with him and his parents in them. Also at the end, when Kiara finally got her dream, I was so so happy for her. Nino has come a long way regarding his feelings for Kiara, and I’m so proud of him for it. They are seriously a dream couple. I will probably reread this book until the end of time. It is so heartbreaking, yet heartwarming at the same time.

The Falcone Men are Perfection

Sigh. The Camorra is my absolute favorite family in Cora’s books and they did not disappoint. I love that Twisted Bonds took a closer look at how this family was adjusting to 5 men (including Fabiano) who were somewhat feral to an family that includes women and children.

Nino and Kiara are couple goals-the way he supports her and helps her grow into a more confident woman is swoon worthy. I also loved watching the rest of the men bond with her and offer advice and love (in a very Falcone way
