Slow to start, yet very suspenseful. Overall, I wasn't sold on this "pairing"

RESENHA BRASILEIRA
ENGLISH REVIEW
After reading the Mindfuck series, this is the second dark romance I can say isn't bad. I liked the topics discussed, the cat and mouse dynamics, but I thought some things happened too quickly. I didn't take some of the psychology discussed seriously because the author certainly manipulated it to fit the plot, but as it served well in entertainment, it's ok.
I still have doubts whether I would classify it as a dark romance, perhaps a thriller with romance would make more sense, as there isn't that much romance (2 and a half sex scenes). Before reading it I thought the character's dynamics was gonna be like Joker and Harley Quinn, but it's more like if Clarice and Hannibal got involved, with Hannibal being like Dexter, and Clarice being the psychologist/psychiatrist, the seduction game is similar to that of Silence of the Lambs.

Speechless
This book has left me speechless! What a book with twists and turns, valleys and mountains, and every thing in between! I am not sure where to start other than this duet is the most accurately named duet I have ever read. This book was dark, it had dynamic character and the biggest cliffhanger! I can not wait to read book 2 with our favorite serial man and his leading lady!!

It’s like Harley Quinn and the Joker were a psychological thriller.

I was so excited to read this after reading about it online while looking for my next Dark Romance feat. a serial killer. But I didn't really enjoy any of this... They were *so* dramatic about their ~powerful and undeniable connection and attraction~, but I just wasn't feeling it. It's cool that Grayson helped London access her repressed memories, and that she's finally going to shed light on the crimes she originally covered up, but the rest of it...meh. I probably won't read the second one.
