I feel like there is more drug use than necessary. Its really a lot. And while I understand making the villain a bad guy over all. Did it really have to be beastiality?

The story was slow to get through and the characters I could care less about. Everything about the plot and characters felt one-dimensional. Everyone is bad and does bad things. Nothing deeper than that. Didn't enjoy reading and I have no desire to continue with this series.

I started the comics after being sad the TV show was canceled and what a great decision. The characters are compelling and the plot is full of twists and turns. If you like action, assassins, and teen angst, this is the series for you.

Good story, packed with action and violence. Great visual! Loved the colouring and especially the layouts. Perfect use of the medium, very fun and dynamic pages.
Nice recognizable subcultures, and the whole school vibe really works with the plot. They captured the perfect amount of teenage angst and mixed it with the cynicism needed for such a dark story.
Kind of “fear and loathing meet sin city … in high school”?

"I do this thing after I'm around people where I obsessively overanalyze every interaction to see where I went wrong or who I offended".

"Deadly Class" is centered around Marcus, a homeless teenager that gets accepted in a secret academy for de deadly arts called Kings Dominion where he struggles to find his place among the rest of the students.

I'm not the biggest fan of comic books but as I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone I decided to give this a try and I was not dissapointed. The first volume was really entertaining and fast to read, so I didn't struggle to finish it even though it deals with a lot of heavy themes. I have two main issues with this volume: first, I think the premise of this secret academy to train future criminals is super interesting but we don't see a lot of it in this first volume and second, the characters were a bit flat and it felt like they only were there to fit a certain stereotype. I'm guessing this is because it's the first volume of the series and I hope it's true because I have really high expectations for the next volumes.

4.5 Really cool and entertaining story! The coloring in this is seriously so good and was for sure my favorite aspect. Characters were all so different and unique. They added a lot to the story and I'm looking forward to learning more about their stories. Definitely excited to pick up volume two and see where the story goes!!
