Slow. Listened to the audiobook- free in abc listen. Some interesting chapters. Ok while gardening or cooking

“About growing up as an outsider and reckoning with privilege, Muddy People is a touching memoir by a woman who made a life of her own while still reflecting on her family’s wishes.”

It was fine, but I didn’t find it very reflective, and by the end I had a hard time seeing how the author had grown from these challenges/experiences. Maybe it’s unfair to expect growth, but without it it leaves me wondering what I’m supposed to be taking away from these stories, especially when they cover her life from childhood into adulthood
