I loved it, so incredible. plot twists and resolutions were *Chefs kiss* not basic or predictable... I do wish he hadn't slightly over-exaggerated her menstrual cycle and such, I know it is complicated but he played it very unrealistic to me WHY DIDNT HE DEVELOP THE RELATIONSHIP WITH GEM MOOOORE!!! I needed them to have SOME sort of satisfying romantic twist at the end, I feel like Riordan missed out on that part *sigh*
Graphic: Death of parent, Death, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Terminal illness, Violence, Blood, Toxic relationship, Cancer, Colonisation, Fire/Fire injury, and Grief

I think this was really good, I loved the storyline and the characters were great :)
I really liked all the different representation (I think Rick is getting better at the represention thing and it’s very nice) but I also think this might be the first book I’ve read that has the female MC actually get her period and have it effect her day-to-day stuff, which I was really happy about seeing.
One note I have is that it felt kinda cliffhanger-y (and we know Rick loves those cliffhangers) but at the same time it… doesn’t feel that way? Like I feel as if that last chapter was saying both “hey there’s gonna be more “ but also “it’s the end but it’s up to your interpretation what happens next” and I don’t really like that. I’m pretty sure this has been marketed as a standalone so I’m assuming it’ll stay that way but I do think it could end up being a series or a duology or something. Good book though :)

It wasn’t bad at all, I was never bored. But I’m not ever going to reread it. It wasn’t as good as his other books, if anything it just made me want to reread Percy Jackson .
