This book is solid and fun to read, but is missing a little bit of the magic from the first two books. The author was forced to make sure the ending lined up with the beginning of the fourth book, which was the first to be written, so it doesn't end in as satisfying a fashion as the rest do. That being said, still a fun book and definitely worth reading!

The donkey pulled the score down

I'll be honest, I was a bit disappointed by the ending, or else this novel would have gotten a higher review from me. I guess it's because we didn't get to see as much Mendanbar and Cimorene action as I would have wished?
...and also mainly because... I really wanted Telemain and Morwen to be a thing...

I gotta go start the sequel, because I'm impatient.

Fun third book in series! Cliffhanger ending to read the 4th

Morwen is probably my favorite of the characters in this series (she's just so practical!) so I love that she got her own POV book. Additionally, I find the cat's asides to be a lot of fun, and I enjoy their personalities, which you do get a sense of but not a perspective into in the other books.
This one was always one of my favorites, even though it does end on a somewhat unsatisfying cliffhanger.

This book was a bit slower than the other ones, and by far much more frustrating as some of the characters were definitely annoying to the point where I would exclaim "seriously?!" to my empty room. There is a bit of a twist at the end, however, which made it inconvenient that I finished this book late last night at 2AM as I wanted to be able to finish the series right after. One thing to mention about this series, though, is that the main perspective changes with each book, and so far I think this story's perspective is my favorite character overall, so that does give it a plus.

The audiobook made me weary of this book so quickly. Killer's voice is the WORST.

The rabbit-donkey is more annoying than I remembered. Still love this series though.
