My first read from this author. I’ve heard great things about her other works and I’m going to check them out. This was already in my library, so I started with it.

This book on the other hand wasn’t my favorite. Though, I nearly DNF’d, I wanted to see if there was going to be MORE. But there wasn’t.

There seems to be some things missing (like apparently, Seth possibly(?) played a role in Laura’s dad’s death… well that’s what I took from it)

The characters were okay. And I’m sure they’ll developed more in the other books but they were kind of “meh” to me.

Also, the change in the spelling of Derrick/Derek’s name annoyed me

HURT ME BUT SO GOOD. I can’t believe her best friend got killed that hurt the most. He is chasing her down so we shall see how that goes. I can’t believe they targeted his woman and burnt her house down. She didn’t have much but everything got taken from her so quickly so she ran. He will chase her though. I can’t get over how good this book is I’m excited for the rest of the books.

Willow Winters has done it again! Sucked me in and left me wanting more! This book is the beginning of Seth and Laura's story, and it's all I love in a book! Seth is slowly getting deeper into the life, and Laura wants out. Well, this isn't going to work, since these two have been in love forever! Winters has crafted the story around an unbridled passion, dangerous liaisons and a hurt so deep that I am wondering if it can be salvaged. It's full of suspense and intrigue, heartache and steam. The perfect mix. But the cliffhanger has me waiting for more, and I need to grab the next book to see where their story leads.

Joe Arden and Samantha Cook are perfect for this story. While I am usually hearing Arden in the comedic or more angsty roles, he proves his talents by giving Seth that alpha, growlie sound, the over protective man with an axe to grind. Laura needs that man, and now with Cook portraying her, with higher expectations and that ability to move on, she gives us the emotional tugs that she is going through. It's a match that will give it all to us and I can't wait to hear more.

Mercy this book was just so good. I didn't want to stop once I started reading it. As always Willow just floor's me with her writing. This is Seth and Laura's story and believe me you want in on this book. It was just so good you won't want to put the book down. It's definitely a must read.
