It’s like that age old “no-no” in writing where the narrator wakes up and it was all just a dream.

First half was pretty good, but the second half was a hot mess.

I think if I could do half stars, I think I’d rate it 2.5 stars. I’m rounding it up to three because I really liked the first half of the book. I was really intrigued, and things seemed interesting. The writing was good, and pacing was perfect.

But once I reached around the halfway point, things started to feel like a bit of a slog. I was a bit confused and a little bored at times, which isn’t what I’m looking for in a thriller. The last half, especially the ending, just felt lackluster compared to how promising it seemed at the beginning, and it felt like plot holes were left open.

If you’re really into books with unreliable narrators and willing to suspend some disbelief because the writing is good and the first half is very good, and are very into slow burn mysteries, this’ll likely be up your alley.

Thursday’s husband, Seth, has two other wives. She agreed to this arrangement because she can’t be without Seth. She’s never met his other wives and she doesn’t know anything about them until one day she finds something she was never meant to find. The more she learns about her husband the more she questions who he really is….

This book was full of gaslighting and twists so much that I didn’t even know what to believe! I really didn’t know what to expect with this book but it didn’t disappoint. It started out a little slow but then picked up the pace the more I read. I listened to the audiobook and some of the chapters were a little longer than I would’ve liked but overall I enjoyed the audiobook! The ending was surprising and very action packed.

I would recommend this book if you’re looking for a twisty, domestic thriller!

This book could’ve been SO good. But, it just wasn’t. I loved how accurately it depicted narcissistic abuse/gaslighting. How being with someone like that can make you feel crazy and question your own sanity, but the rest… ick.
