The music is idyllic for any fairytale but at time the dissonance felt a little too... modern for something that was stylistically meant to be set before this was the normal experimental feature that much of today's soundtracks and contemporary pieces have. If you enjoy learning music quickly then this piano reduction is ideal - particularly some of the waltzes and the first piece ('a golden childhood') Definitely recommend listening to the soundtrack first unless you are a whiz with sight reading as like I said, the dissonance doesn't sound right a lot of the time (mainly because when we learn music we learn it slowly and the chords aren't meant to be held that long, which is why they don't sound right - a quaver is a quaver not a minim) and also some of the rhythm's too often don't make sense or develop when they shouldn't be.
