Noah was SO cocky that it got on my nerves at times but this was such a CUTE story!

Adding F1 to my list of sports romance MUST READS:

I think that this book was a great palate cleanser for me since I’ve been sort of a slump. I would recommend this book especially since it was an easy read and the fluff was great. Although I felt a little disconnected from the characters but that might just be me since like I said before I am in a sort of slump. It was good since I got exactly what I was expecting and honestly wouldn’t change a thing. This book was definitely not a literary masterpiece but it did the job.

I really liked the unique setting of this romance : F1 driver, I feel like it hasn’t been done a lot and I haven’t read any yet.
However, I have to admit I have mixed feelings about Throttled.
I felt like Maya sounded a little young (maybe because of the audiobook narrator).
I also wished we had a little more of Noah’s point of view to really understand how his feelings changed towards Maya, especially at the beginning of the book.
I have to admit that this book felt a little bit un-edited : the pacing was sometimes a little off and the action of the characters was a little wattpad like (Noah seepling with a random girl after his date with Maya because she wanted a serious relationship and he didn’t felt a little too dramatic and immature).
But, this book was really easy to read and read quite fast. I also really liked that their romance was sort of slow burn and how cute they were at the end.

I enjoyed the book. My husband is OBSESSED with F1 racing, so it was fun to see a romance tied to it. I read a LOT so it was fairly predictable but also not as ridiculously angsty, which some books with the forbidden-romance trope can be. I thought the way the characters dealt with their dilemmas was fairly realistic. Sometimes you read a romance where the angst is due to poor communication and you are like, "JUST TALK IT OUT!!!" but this book didn't have that and I SOOOO Appreciated it.

Tropes: Forbidden romance, billionaire (maybe he's just a millionaire, but he rich) romance, reformed bad boy, F1 racing, rivals to friends.

Chili Peppers: 3

Favorite Quotes:
Maya (FMC): "You are aware I lost my virginity, like, four years ago, right? No need to protect me anymore when my virtue is no longer intact."
... Santa (her brother, an F1 racer): "I don't want to be aware. No. Keep that shit to yourself..." LOL, there's some good sibling banter

Hooking up with Noah is the same as picking up two BOGO pints of Ben & Jerry's. It sounds and tastes like a great idea at first, but you overestimate your self control, and next thing you know, the whole thing is gone and you have a stomachache.

That's a problem for future me. Damn, I just coined my new mantra.
Thou shall not bang your brother's teammate rings in my ears, a new mantra for me by now.

My body feels on fire, and my most intimate places are worse off. How is it possible to get turned on by sunscreen application? There should be a warning label on the back of the bottle for this. Screw damaging rays, this shit with Noah burns me up worse than any SPF below fifty.

"Don't think too hard. You'll be stuck battling the 'what if you dos' and the 'what if you don'ts' instead of living in the moment."

Sophie (the FMCs friend): "He said, and I quote" - her voice drops lower to imitate Noah's- "I didn't know she was a fan of hiding. Let her know when I find her, she won't like it. I was the champ at hide-and-seek growing up."
Maya: "What? Seriously?" My voice screeches.
Sophie "No! That's a terrible pickup line. He's better than that. I'm messing with you."
LOL - there's lots of cute joking throughout the book

And Sophie has a "magic wand d!ldo thing" that she refers to when setting up Maya on dates. hahahahaha

Started off slow but was so cute. Loved

4.5⭐️ i mean, i dont know what to rate this book it was pretty basic but so good. it reignited my obsession with f1 and charles leclerc. also, i liked that it had a reasonable amount of sexy scenes whilst some books have more than needed, and it kinda ruins the vibe sometimes.

reread: i really enjoyed this book the second time i was reading it, and i don't think that i'll ever get tired of it, so that by itself is saying something
