Pretty standard story! Didn't find any pieces of it super memorable. Conversations about alcoholism.  Decently spicy.

This book sounded promising (sapphic + book within a book!) but unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. My biggest issue was that the unconvincing insta-love relationship and one-dimensional characters didn't leave me much to care about, so I kept forgetting I was reading this.

Not terrible, but nothing to write home about either IMO - but others seem to have enjoyed it more than I did.

No Strings Attached was excellent, but this definitely didn't meet that standard. Short enough that I finished it and very meta when listening but ultimately I cared more about the neighbou than the relationship.

It was easy enough to skim through and the protagonist wasn’t exactly shaping up to be complex nor the romance intriguing but it was the pettiest of details that set me off and I couldn’t get back into the story after it. I almost gaslit myself into believing ring and wring were interchangeable verbs. Probably for the best to part like this than through a 2-star review.

lucy bexley is my emily henry.
this book was so warm and unique. bexley has such a good sense of voice and character that makes them feel real and relatable like i’ve met them before. i only wish i had a more clear picture of arden in my mind like i did w jones in no strings. but overall, such a lovely, soft and beautiful romance !
