This is a philosophy book disguised as a novel, trying to answer the age old question of "how to live". It recognizes that people are full of mistakes and full of regrets, often warring with the concept of "what if" and it is absolutely beautifully written, though definitely not for the faint of heart. It reminded me that my current life and current feelings are all that matter. There is no winning the "What if" game. Amazing read! I definitely recommend.

I enjoyed this. I chose it as I thought the themes touched on similar experiences and emotions held in my own life. The main character I found to be typical of the genre, I wouldn't say I hold her dear to my heart, but I liked her and I could see reflections of myself in her, and as a young adult finding their way in the world I guess that's the aim, at least for me as a reader.
The plot and themes within were what I expected after reading a description and a few reviews. I won't say predictable, because it was still an enjoyable read, but I wouldn't say anything surprised me either.
I feel towards the end the message was really driven. It was nice, perhaps too much at times, but I like to finish a book and be left with things to contemplate. This felt summed up and clear, but still important, and not everything needs to be thought over.
Overall, it was a lovely story. A fairly easy read, heart warming and leaves you with a new way of thinking.

Exceptional book. It made me cry in a nice way. It starts out very heavy, but push through it. It’s a beautiful book, very good for people who are having trouble seeing how things could be better.

This was the worst self help book disguised as fiction ever. Author beats you over the head with cliches and still doesn’t manage to leave a coherent message. I’m also really not a fan of the message about how one goes about dealing with depression and suicidality. These aren’t things you can just change with your outlook. Main character is boring and really doesn’t have a lot of distinctive traits. Super bleh book, only finished because I paid for it on audible.
