Interesting world building. The plot seemed to drag for me, though. There is a romantic arc, but it really isn't the focus of the story. Reminded me of Fraternitas Aureae Crucis Series or The Inferno Club Series by Gaelen Foley. Maybe a little historical paranormal Krentz.

That was a beating. The world building is slow and there's way too much of a romance novel feel. (Authors really should be cautious about trying to emulate Outlander. There's only one Gabaldon.)
