I’ve read this book many times as a teenager and when I came across it at the book fair, I had to buy it. It was a trip down memory lane and I loved it.

4 stars because I didn’t guess who the mugger was!

The contrast between the characters is always most obvious when it comes to Tom. He's uncomfortable in his own home, and escapes into his hobbies.
Did not suspect the mugger. The kid should've been a recurring character.

I used to love this series as a kid, I was surprised by how much of it stuck in my head for the past 20 years
