Reading a book by Jasper Fforde is like exercising the imagination. Shades of Grey was, for me, the most difficult work out yet. As with all of his other books, however, it was absolutely worth it.

Starts slowly but give it a chance, it gets really good!
I liked this book but it didn't GRAB me in the same way that Early Risers did. I'm going to visit other areas, but I will come back to Fforde in a while.
Same problem I had with his fairy tale series. Just can’t get into it, feel overwrought. I miss Thursday Next.
