I loved it. I see many reviews that it’s too deep. It’s exactly what I’m looking for. Substance, drama and love.

I really loved the writing in this one. The characters felt real and the issues that came up were nuanced and caused me to think. Audiobook narrators we’re fantastic.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. One of the best things I’ve read this year. Definitely a fave that I will continue to revisit. Lots of great music recs. Very Brooklyn, if you know-you know.

Enjoyed this read. The characters jumped out of the book and the descriptions were vivid. There were a lot of different stories and issues that the author tackles here, and at certain points it seemed like too much (and the kitchen sink). Nonetheless, an enjoyable adventure. I learned a lot about the struggle of Puerto Rico as a US territory that was a clear focal point in the plot.
