I thought this book was a very different version of the classic Peter Pan stories we all know and love. While i personally do not like when Peter Pan is personified as dark, evil, or cruel, this book was very interesting and hard to put down. I enjoyed all of the little hints about the real story and hearing a different version as to why some parts of the classic story are the way they are. This book definitely pulls at the heart strings and can make you cry, especially by taking a classically loved character and painting them as evil. It was also great to see a bit more of a back story between Peter Pan and Captain Hook. Would definitely recommend this book to all Disney and Peter Pan lovers!

Captain Hook is probably one of my favorite villains (right behind Hades) and Christina Henry is one of my favorite authors so obviously this book had my attention immediately.

Now, I always knew Petter Pan was shady character, at least in my opinion anyways. This story solidifies that assumption for me. What an asshole.

I loved this book. It’s always interesting reading an authors take on a villain or a retelling and this is by far my favorite.

The beginning of Peter Pan and how it lead to the story we all know.
What a fantastic read. I truly enjoyed every page of this book. All the characters (except Peter and another one but you'll see why) are endearing. I loved Charlie so much!

I will recommend it without questions!

This was so dark, and so good. Definitely changed my thoughts completely on Peter Pan.

there were a few small things I thought were done in a clunky way, but overall this story knocked me to the ground and bashed my head in as if I was the one in Battle,,, but like in a good way? I'm crying too hard to write a good review

For some reason, I thought
Sally
would make it. I would classify this as horror fantasy because I felt horrified at the end.
