Not my favorite couple but Liam did mention my favorite Elvis Presley song 'All shook up' and they also broke a bed..so not my worst couple either.

I liked this a lot, despite my mid tier rating. Second chance romances usually don't do it for me, especially in contemporaries, but it was handled really well here. The integration of both Daisy and Liam's respective family heritage is woven in very nicely, but at times the comedic and often cringey elements of the story came off as a little forced to me. I would, however, love a man to spend an hour trying to climb a tree to get into my childhood bedroom as a form of grovelling.

I initially couldn’t finish this book, and put it down halfway through. At that time I stopped due to poor writing and poor editing. The piece that made me put it down was a description of a hockey game with glaring errors and discrepancies.  There was no reason to include such detail, so to include it and get it wrong  is very irksome.
I finished the book a few days later because I needed something to read and it was the only book I had handy. While I still didn’t think it was good, the ending was good for a romantic comedy.

I wanted to like this more than I did. I enjoyed the continuation of the Patel family, but it was painfully predictable and I found myself eager to finish the book so that I wouldn’t have to read it any more. Parts were lovely and the basic idea of the story is enjoyable, but some things were dragged out and far too many others were rushed. A book of cliches, humor, sex, and a painfully predictable storyline.

I really enjoyed this second instalment! It was even better than the first. This had lots of tropes used well - tragic backstory, miscommunications, friends to enemies to lovers - plus the awesome ensemble cast of the first book. I liked the love interest in this one a whole lot and also loved the quirkiness of the geeky heroine.

I enjoyed The Marriage Game - I wasn't blown away by it but I thought it was pretty solid overall.
I have a very similar feeling with this book, but I think there's a bit of it that's less tight and a bit over the top.
I love the leads. I think as characters they're interesting and loveable and I enjoyed them as much if not more than the leads in the first book.
...however. I get that the male lead is Irish-American. I am also Irish-American. This book....made them seem a bit caricature-ish. It was distracting and certain points and made me groan. This probably wouldn't be the case for people who aren't in a similar situation, but I was a little bummed after being excited about the representation.
I think the ending of the book could have been a bit less of a blowout. I know that romance novels love tropes and I know the big declaration of love is one of them, but it's never for me. I'm not going to fault this book on it, nonetheless.
I think the first two books in this series are cute and quick reads. Skip the third installment.
