Wow. Funny, sweet, super sexy romance with LGBTQIA+ characters…this one hits all the right notes if you’re open minded enough for it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was the first time that I have read anything by this author, but I will definitely be looking for more work from them in the future..

This ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

What a fun, quick read! I haven't dabbled into queer romance much, but I loved the plot and the characters. As a recently-divorced straight woman just starting to date again, I was surprised I connected to Mel's struggles and thoughts at first, but watching her blossom as she rediscovered herself has been quite inspiring to me on my journey.

Plenty of on-page action. Lovable characters. And I wish it came with a cocktail recipe book because they sound delicious!

This was a funny and sweet rom com with poly, non-binary, and some sapphic rep! Another beautiful story from TJ Alexander, one of my insta-buy authors. Mel, Bebe, and Kade are all such distinct personalities and the way they come together isn't smooth, but it is always heartfelt. I saved so many quotes from this book, I'm just in love with these characters and the way TJ has brought them to life here.

I like the word ‘wife.’ It appeals to me in a way the other words for ‘spouse’ never could,” Kade said. “Bebe and I have imbued it with a kind of magic, I think. Words are just symbols, and a symbol can mean whatever you ascribe to it. I don’t think you need to be a woman to be a wife. Even men could be wives, if they tried hard enough.” They cast a dry look in Mel’s direction. “Most of them don’t. But there’s always hope.”

(This was a review of a free advanced review copy. Thanks to Atria, TJ Alexander, and NetGalley for that privilege!)

💕 Poly Relationship
🏳️‍🌈 Everyone is Queer

I definitely need more polyamorous relationships in books, this was so cute.  The characters were well written and the relationship was healthy, they had good communication and all worked well together.

The plot of this was lighthearted and fun to read.   There is healing of past relationships and Mel learning what it’s like to be in a polyamorous relationship.

When Mel meets a woman at the bar she works at it’s safe to say she falls fast.  Bebe being the powerful lawyer as her day job and talking down bar fights while on dates she has such a charismatic personality; she is the life of the party.  Kade is married to Bebe and while they have an open relationship may have Mel questioning if she likes them as well after a nightmare of a vacation.  What starts as a casual relationship between Mel and Bebe turns out to be so much more.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.  I’m very grateful.
