I am struggling with how to review this book. I was struggling with the style (even though i read it pretty fast), which sometimes took something away from connecting with the characters.
At one point i nearly gave up though because i had the feeling there was no point behind all the focus on 'losing the virginity' as the most important thing for Don. Though there were also parts that made me cry. I did not feel as connected to the characters as i usually do with books like this though. I was also a bit annoyed with Adrian at times and that he really needed a kid to figure out what might be wrong with his current life (it was not that hard to see? IDK).

Overall though i would say it was a good book, though i can see not getting into it because the writing style is very different from usual ones and reads more like a screen play most of the times.

This book is a fascinating read about a difficult subject, the upcoming death of a teenager. It has large portions written as they were a film script, with the placement (interior, exterior) of the scene and then either dialogue or narrative. I think the balance is well done - had it been more of the script-style writing I wouldn't have been able to read it with any pleasure. As it is, this approach seems really well suited to giving multiple points-of-view and I like the depth thus created.

Funnily, I didn't really like the book, but I am pleased to have read it.

Al final me cayó un poco bien el chaval. Sin embargo, este libro sigue teniendo cosas muy flojas.

The beginning was quite confusing and it was hard for me to stay focused. But as the story progressed, it became a lot better. I was also pleased to see the "outtakes" which finish the story and don't leave it open.
