I expected this to be spicier just based on the cover but I’m not complaining. There’s considerably more plot than I was prepared for and I’m here for it. I enjoy plot with my spice, and even with this being part of a series and I’ve jumped right in, I was able to keep up with the story and the characters with little to no extra effort on my part. The story had its moments where I was less than thrilled with the tropes we were experiencing but overall I don’t have too much to complain about.

It’s a solid sports romance that’s light on the sports (thank goodness) with just enough spice to keep it interesting.

another win!

After each book, I think - this series can’t get better. Every player we meet I think - he’s book boyfriend goals - and then every time a new book comes out, I’m obsessed again! The story of Liam and Stormy just might be my favourite yet!

Diesel and Stormy....oh thank you for this!!
I got a little insight, if any from Dirty Christmas and I am so happy they got their own story!

Stormy ends up in Vegas after finding her fiance had been cheating. Diesel ends up in Vegas after some news he had found out about. Stormy and Diesel end up connecting instantly and have the idea, well, lets get married.

Not seeing is wife for a WHOLE YEAR, he finally lays eyes on her and follows her home. They keep up the whole fake marriage and true feelings come in to play.

I loved this book. I have loved all of Mira's Slayers books. Liam Diesel was perfect! Diesel and Stormy were perfect together so when the idea of getting a divorce was presented I was like whyyyy? NO! lol. Throughout the book, both of them were fighting to overcome their own issues, and being together through the charade I believe provided them with the extra push they needed to gain more courage and stand up for their own situations.

I also enjoyed we got to see where Misty and Noel where at and what they were doing. It was almost like we had two relationships going on.

I am excited for more of the Slayers!

Thank you to Mira Lyn Kelly, Netgalley and Dreamscape media for the advanced Listeners Copy of Dirty Groom. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love sports romance, and here recently i found a new love for hockey romance, specifically. Hockey is so rough and rugged and the men who play are just as hot and rugged. Mira Lyn Kelly is a new author for me, and I saw this one on netgalley and knew i needed to read it, or in this case listen to it. but then i realized that it was part of a series that could be read as standalone novels. So, now I have a new series to get involved with and I can't wait. Mira Lyn Kelly knows how to write a steamy novel. The spice was there from the start with this one. who doesn't love a good drunken night in Vegas trope where the guy falls head over heels in love with his fake wife?

I love it when sports romances have dual POV and his and hers narrators. It just adds to the spice and dynamic of the story. These narrators fit perfectly together. Now that I have read this one, i need the others in the Slayers Hockey Series, and I can't wait.

I was given a copy of Dirty Groom by the author for an honest review.

I'm such a sucker for a hockey romance - and I love Mira Lyn Kelly, so this was a match made in heaven. We start off with Liam and Stormy - or Sexy Stranger and Jane Jones - meeting at a hotel bar in Vegas. They agree to a no-strings-attached deal after they both experience heartbreak. Fast forward a year and we find out not only did they go their separate ways after that night in Vegas, but they got married before they did.

Liam drags his friend after Stormy to get that divorce, and the friend ends up falling in love with Stormy's sister. They agree to keep their marriage a secret, but no matter how Liam and Stormy try to stay away from each other, they keep ending up together. An incident with Stormy's ex causes Liam to lose control, and their dirty little secret is out. Now Liam and Stormy are "all in" for the marriage, or well, they are in for at least 2 years.

Something from Liam's past comes back to haunt him, and he feels like the best thing to do is push Stormy away. However, they are both completely miserable, ya know? So, of course, there's a satisfying HEA. There is, of course, sexy times, so 18+.

Liam and Stormy's story made me laugh and "awwww!" over the course. They played off each other very well, and the banter - OH THE BANTER. I do love me some banter :)

"God save us from the well intentioned"
Dirty Groom introduced another great Slayer, Liam Diesel. It started with a chance meeting of Liam and Stormy in Vegas on Christmas Eve, both having run from their broken hearts to make a pact with each other. They would marry each other so that they will never have their hearts broken again. Seemed like a great plan, until the next day when Stormy runs off and they don't see each other until the next Christmas Eve.

The story continues with them deciding to stay married so that people will stop trying to fix them up with others or exs. They get to know each other but agree they are on the "same page" they are not to fall in love. Naturally they choose to fight their true feelings and continue on the "same page" until Liam's past comes back and tears apart that page.

I loved seeing past Slayer players and future (hopefully) Slayer players give Liam advice on how he can fix his marriage with Stormy. It is always fun to hear from previous book characters and how they learned from their mistakes and were able to help Liam.

In the end, Liam and Stormy were always on the "same page" it just turned out that the page was falling in love.
