I absolutely love everything about the original Legend trilogy, so it's no surprise that I loved this addition to the series. I am so happy to be back in the world that I have reread repeatedly, and I was smiling so much while reading this because of the characters. My opinions about the series and the characters have still not changed, I love everything about both.

It's been a long time since I read the original trilogy, so it's hard to compare. I will say that I did like this more than I thought I would based on the mixed reviews. It didn't blow me away, but it was quite nostalgic.

”...sometimes, broken pieces find a way to make a new whole.”
This is probably the most useless, fan-servicy book I’ve ever read. Did I still love it anyway though? Absolutely.
This is definitely the closure Champion didn’t gave us. I’ve been complaining for years that that finale wasn’t enough, so I’m not gonna complain about finally getting it.
I love June and Day ten years later. I love how mature they are now and how they finally seem to have their shit together. I love them.
I also really enjoyed Eden’s POV, I adored the exploration of toxic masculinity and how resourceful he was in comparison to Daniel. My only complaint is that I wish that the characters spoke more to each other, because the conflict felt so dumb from time to time.
Whilst reading the original trilogy, I thought Antarctica was pretty much the definition of human evolution. Their society seemed so perfect, and though June does question if the system really works, we didn’t really question it much. I really enjoyed the exploration of the flaws of Antarctica and how no system is actually perfect.
The one thing I didn’t like was the villain. He was so cartoony I can’t even remember his name.
Anyway, was this book necessary? Absolutely not. Did I love it? Yes, a hundred times yes.
43. A book related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) [fiction or nonfiction]
