I listened to this book on audio and I think Meryl Streep made the book. If you read it in physical form I think it would be a bit boring and hard to get through, but Meryl was a star and had me hooked from start to finish.

The only way I can describe this was 📉📈 for a book not too long, the middle section dragged to me. I found the main narrator to be irritating but I loved some of the side characters and the setting. I definitely preferred the past timeline to the present. I think if I was a fiction reader I'd have liked this a lot more.
