This book changed my perspective on a lot of things and answered a burning question I had on how to balance the individual vs the collective. Beautiful, profound and packed with great insights, this is a must-read for everybody, regardless of your relationship situation because I think it has something to offer to everyone.

This book had so many good insights but all of the actual stories were focused on correcting men's behavior & heavil focused on childhood drama & I felt the scenarios were oversimplified & cheesy in their retelling. The comments on racism & the patriarchy & covid felt out of place and like performative activism & I think it could turn a lot of people off from the book who could potentially benefit from it.

GREAT BOOK! He does have a lot of patient stories interwoven with his own relationship- first marriage why it failed and his present one. Psychologists married to psychologists. Big point- it is not about me, but about US as a relationship. Would highly recommend this book for a more satisfying relationship.
