This is the book I've been waiting for since starting the series. Mr. December single dad Brent gets his shot. I will confess I was so sad to start this one because it means this great series is over. J. Kenner finished this series on a high note. I gobbled this book right up. I guess if I had anything I would change would be I would have loved to have Brent's daughter Faith pop up more in the book. She's such a little cutie. Elena and Brent had such chemistry. What I loved about this book the series came full circle. I couldn't have been any happier with the epilogue. It was the perfect touch.

In our final story of the series we get sexy, single dad Brent and the boss's daughter, Elena. Two of my favorite tropes...the single dad and the older man/younger woman. It's another shorty but goody!

12 books and a novella later and I can't believe it's over. I've enjoyed this series and getting to know all the couples that are all tied back to The Fix on Sixth bar. It's been such a mix of personalities and different tropes that the author provided something for everyone. And there is an actual calendar you can buy with all the hotties on the covers. It's been a fun ride!

And with Brent and Elena… the series has come to a close but with such a bang! I am sad to see them go but it was a great conclusion as you get a lot of closure but such a swoon worthy story with these two. The one thing I really adored about this story is how much these two fought their attraction. But who could deny such a sexy alpha like Brent? I really enjoyed the way that Elena kept Brent on his toes and her love for his daughter as well. Their banter and quick wit on top of sizzling passion kept this story going with great flow as you get some twists and turns and answers to what is happening to The Fix. Totally ended on a high note!
Overall, while Reece is my favorite still out of the series from that first book, Brent holds a special place in my heart because of how much he loves. His daughter, his work and Elena. It was a beautiful culmination to the end of this series and I applaud Kenner for writing such a crazy and intertwined series!

In the last of the series, Brent and Elena finally decide to act on the chemistry between them. Although Brent thinks he is too old for Elena he cannot deny how attracted he is to her. Brent's biggest issue is that he has a six year old daughter whose mother walked out when she was born and he has been a single parent ever since. Elena is studying urban planning at college in Austin but is excited to travel the world when she graduates. Brent feels he can't be involved with Elena as he doesn't want another person to leave his daughter, like Elena surely will. Can they find a. middle ground? Nice end to the series.

What a conclusion! I am so sad to see this series end, because I have thoroughly enjoyed it, but what a great book to end on. I loved all of the feels and the sexiness. It was such a beautiful story. I loved the characters and would still love to read more about any of the characters in this series. I can't wait to see what J. Kenner comes up with next!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the last book of the Man of the Month series. It was an awesome series.

This is Brent and Elena's book. Not really the couple I expected but it turned out to be a good read. I was happy to see the series end on such a happy note.

The perfect ending to a great series. A year full of hot men finding their soulmates while making sure the Bar on 6th stays running. With this last installment we finally get to read about Brent. The single father who has always put his daughter and his job first has always had feelings for Elena. But because she is his best friend's daughter and the ten year age difference he never acted on them. Does Elena feel the same way? Can the two fall in love even though there are huge obstacles in the way? And what about her idea of heading back to California once she finishes school - can Brent risk getting not only his emotions involved but his daughter's as well. With beautifully written characters and a heartwarming storyline that had feel good moments throughout the book, this was an awesome ending to the year. I only wish there were more months left as I do not want it to end.

Walk the Line was the perfect wrap up story for the Man of the Month series. Not only was Brent and Elena’s story raw and emotional, we got the added bonus of some insight into how our other favourite couples were travelling!

All was well in the end of the characters of this series, and even though the HEA is guaranteed, it doesn’t make it any less satisfying.

Julie saved one of the best to last, with single dad Brent finally getting the romance he deserved! They face a few obstacles but it is sweet and endearing the way they navigate them.

The Man of the Month series is full of great stories that I can’t wait to reread time and time again.

I'm not really that much of a fan of older man romances, but for the most part, this one worked for me. Like most of the others in this series that I have read so far, it was another quick and easy read. I honestly liked how this one seemed so much more realistic in the amount of time it took for them to actually get together, or should I say in the amount of time for them to kind of feel like a couple, and act like it. Even though they were still trying to keep it secret, from Elena's dad of course, who starts out right away warning them away from each other, and of course also trying to keep it secret, for the most part from Brent's daughter. However I feel like Brent definitely had the right amount of protesting that what they were doing could be wrong with the age difference, but not to a ridiculous amount. When he did get over that, the other obstacles had to do with the fact that Elena was still going to finish school and what would she do for her job after that, and then he didn't want to get his daughter's hopes up and have Elena leave like the mother of his daughter had before. I like that Elena still looked into how she could stay there and also continue on with her schooling and meet the goals that she had for herself. That was very mature, and to me very realistic. Elena's father also was exactly how I'd picture my own family members behaving about someone in the same situation. That even though they had misgivings over the age difference, etc., her father knew Brent, knew he was a good guy, and knew that Elena would be great with him and his daughter. And that's something that I loved about this one for sure. We also got a little bit of a catch up with each of our other couples, and that was great as well, since this is the last one.
If you're looking for some quick, easy, romantic with a bit of sexy tales, this should be at the top of your list. While I haven't read every single one in the series, all of the ones I have read are worth it for sure. At some point I'll probably go back and read the ones I missed. Especially since Elena's father was one of them, and I missed that story thanks to other blogging obligations at the time it was out.

WALK THE LINE is book 12 in the Man of the Month series. It can be read alone but might be better enjoyed if you read the whole series.

Brent is a single dad and part owner of the bar, The Fix on Sixth. He just wants to raise his daughter, Faith and work with his friends to save their beloved bar. Elena is Tyree's daughter, one of the owners of the Fix. She's in need of a job while she finishes college and Brent needs a babysitter for Faith. It's a perfect arrangement except for the attraction between them that can't be ignored.

I've been eagerly waiting Brent's story since the beginning of this journey! I love that the single father found his HEA with Elena. We met her in Tyree's story several books ago. She's sweet, smart, nurturing and she deserved to find romance with such a great character like Brent. Despite their age difference, the whole boss's daughter connection and the interracial aspect, they made the swooniest couple! (Or maybe BECAUSE of all that) Brent is one of those noble, loving, kind men. An ex cop that always put his daughter, Faith, first. Even leaving the job he loved so that he could be around for her.

I was so delighted to read about some of my favorite couples from the previous books too! This was a sweet and sexy afternoon read and the perfect end to a fantastic series. Each of the 12 books are like short stories and only take a couple of hours to read, they each center around different couples and different tropes so really, there's something for everyone. Told from dual POVs with a happy ever after. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
