Unpopular opinion. I’ve seen so many 5 star reviews for this book… but for me, too much happened. I don’t know how else to describe it. I was just rolling my eyes by the end when yet another massive event happened.

I didn't like this. It was quite painful to get through. It's intentionally written in a confusing way, which I didn't appreciate. Things just kinda happen, and there's not proper transitions to establish what's going on.

I really did not like this, but kept reading to see if the ending would actually be worth it (it wasn’t). Nearly every chapter was so short (1-2 pages) and ended with some sort of cheesy cliffhanger. And there were over 250 of them! All of the children spoke like adults, which made the book very unbelievable and hard to get into. Additionally, there were lots of typos in the first quarter of the book, which I found strange. I simply do not understand the appeal of this one. But it was a good reminder that it’s okay to dnf.
