I listened to this on tape and it was difficult to follow. Too many long extended metaphors that it was difficult to keep track and very easy to zone out Perhaps this would be best read a few pages a day before bed or something like that. It was recommended highly by several colleagues so maybe I am missing something. The only chapter that really resonated with me was the one about how we teach our children who they are - specifically that small, offhand comments can affect the way a child sees him or herself for the rest of their lives. Makes having children seem even scarier.
