the writing and word usage was amazing. The story put me in a world i wasn’t aware of and each character was given a lot of love! i hope to read more from this author.

As a lover of true crime podcasts, I really enjoyed this quick thriller.

The examination of our society’s obsession with death and specifically women victims was threaded throughout and did force me to think about my love of true crime podcasts.

I am not well-versed in the art world but found the inner workings of it interesting; the relationships between gallerists, artists, collectors, etc are more complicated than I realized.

I was surprised by the ending and the revelation of the killer.

I was pretty disappointed by this book. Maggie’s perspective wasn’t very interesting and the twists and turns were underwhelming. It also was incredibly reflective, but not in a good way— more belabored and self-centered.

Also, can’t stand the phrase, “In my mind’s eye...” anymore.

Quick, easy read. It’s nothing special and almost felt like it needed to be longer in order to be better. The main character is pretty frustrating and you didn’t get to know anyone else in an in-depth way. Again, could have been longer and more interesting, but if you’re looking for a beach read that’s what it is

It’s not for everyone but I loved the art and thought Maggie was interesting.

I was really excited about this but it ended up being very slow and boring. The last 50 pages is the only part of the book that picked up and was engaging. I found the characters to be bland and a little annoying. As an artist and art lover I realllyyyyy wanted to like this book. :(
