Can I give this a 6? Great story! I loved the use of Killer Croc here. The Riddles was awesome as well. Harvey Bullock is being developed very nicely here. And Two Face was introduced! Excellent all around! Oh and Gary Frank, your art work is awesome here!!

Another great entry to the Batman: Earth One series. The changes between the traditional canon and these stories make for an engaging, refreshing read.

A bit better than the first. Characters and dialogue still have little to no flair but Gary Frank manages to be even better.

Earth one is really interesting. Bruce is a bit younger and way more inexperienced. He is NOT The Detective, at least not yet anyway. Bullock is moving closer to the fat, lazy, chain-smoking drinker we all know, while Gordon is cleaning up into the good cop we all know him to be.

All the bad guys keep changing, and with Killer Croc, The Riddler, and Harvey Dent all as major players it's very clear this is a different Gotham with a different rogue's gallery. I'm really enjoying this, especially as Bruce has to learn a LOT, more than either Zero Year or Year One had him. He is not prepared for this, hasn't travelled the world or trained with various masters. He's worked out, sure, and is a good martial artist, but that's about it. Very interesting and I am enjoying it. I look forward to the next volume!

Contains some great imagination and refreshing takes on traditional Batman villains. The characters are a lot more grounded than we normally see.

I read Batman Earth One volume 1and 2, a very good revisit of the myth of the dark Knight with a young and beginner Bruce Wayne, a Alfred badass and a Gotham more glaucous than ever.
.
Ideal for people wanting to get into comics, the drawing is modern and very beautiful. Can't wait for the volume 3.
