I have not been this sucked into a book in far too long. I can already tell that I am going to feel a vast emptiness when I am done with these sisters and their stories.

Finally, a morally grey character!! King Alarik kinda came through on this one I won’t lie. More forbidden romance too which had me screaming crying throwing up

I wish some parts were more descriptive as certain background stuff can be puzzling (eg why is this character being described as pacing around the room when they’ve just been sat down one second ago). I feel that the finer details are missing and some action-packed chapters can be underwhelming but I’m hooked on where this story will lead and I will definitely be following this trilogy. I don’t think it’s a 5 star read but 4 doesn’t feel right either since I cannot stop thinking about this incomplete trilogy and I feel like this is something I would even re-read.

As usual, Wren has my heart - she’s the type of character a lot of fmc’s think they are. Rose can be annoying (especially her spoiled brat moments including the foot-stomping) but both pov’s are still entertaining nonetheless and she’s within the tolerable threshold imo. I also do wish that the ‘Queenie’ nickname usage was cut down by like 70% because it was getting very sickly to read.

In saying that, if we do not get an evil Wren in the second book, I will riot.

Twin Crowns #3 let’s gooooo
