Enjoyable, but soapy towards the end and not excellently paced. The narration developed the characters quite well, which made the story intriguing despite a slow plotline, but this was all tossed away after the twist. Ultimately underwhelming.

I am shocked!
I didnt expect the ending at all!
This book talks about a married couple who have a dark secret. No spoilers here: they kill people. We get the story from the husband's pov and its soooooo epic. Because the wife does most of the killing we are trying to uncover with the husband. Samantha also did an amazing job in writing the backstory and how it started without making it seem boring.
The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars, is because the beginning was very confusing and a bit slow for me. For the first 80 pages, I was not only confused but bored. However I am glad that i pushed through because this was definitely an amazing story . I honestly really loved this and

This is a great thriller. I like mine to make my spine tingle while reading enough that I'd never watch the film adaptation

I was audibly yelling at so many parts of this book. I finished this in less than 24 hours because it was impossible to put down. Ugh!!!! It’s just so good!! Some of the twists were predictable, but the way they were carried out was so unique. I love everything about this book. Read it!!

An interesting couple to say the least. I can’t decide if Samantha Downing books are suppose to be creepy thrillers or a little tongue in cheek. Either way they are entertaining and engaging.
