I could not wait to start The Secret Keeper of Jaipur after reading the Henna Artist. I love the characters created by Alka Joshi so much and I was so happy to read Malik’s story as well as see how well Lakshmi was doing. It was also fun to see how the Singhs were faring — I don’t want to contain any spoilers in this so I’ll just leave it at that. Note: highly recommend the audio book! The different voices for different narrators made the story even more remarkable. Five Stars!

Not as good as the first book, and makes me not want to bother reading the 3rd book. Shame as I LOVED the first book. Just didnt grip me as much as the first book.

I didn't love this plot as much as I did the first book, it all felt a little too easy. But the charm was still there. I'm happy to learn a third book is coming!

Another beautiful novel by Alka Joshi. I did read the first book, The Henna Artist, and look forward the future third installment of this series. The novel was beautifully written, informative, and transports you to Jaipur/Shimla. I loved the characters (most of the characters from the first book), and found myself rooting for various ones throughout the story. Only thing holding me back was the “conflict” in this story; it didn’t hold my attention like the first book’s “conflict”. Wonderful book!!
