The perfect accompaniment to The Henna Artist. Loved the elements of mystery, intrigue and rich storytelling.
This story wasn't as captivating as I thought it was going to be especially after having LOVED the first book. I wasn't as drawn to Malik as I had wanted to be and I didn't feel as though the mystery tone of the story was as needed or as well done as I would've liked.

3.5 I loved this story. If you liked the Henna Artist chances are you’ll like this too. I’m taking an extra star because of the amount of recap that was included from the first book. It was unnecessary in my opinion because if you’ve read the first book you know. If you didn’t oh well….
Not as good as the first book. A bit long. I enjoyed the story, but honestly it could have been a stand alone book.
I still like the characters and their development but did not find it as good as the The Henna Artist
