I loved this book!! I listened to the audio and the narrator’s fantastic, the writing is splendid, the interweaving of the scenery/history/characters/plot/romance….SO GOOD!!!
But that last line….definitely the best. It had me cackling!

I could not put this book down! You can't help but root for the characters as you get to know their complexities. The romance is a ship I will happily capitan, the best example of starcrossed lovers I've seen in a long time. As a first book in a yet to be completed trilogy, I can feel the potential in this characters. I cannot wait to see where the story takes them!

I loved the main character, but the romance subplot wasn't as good to me. I didn't connect with the love interest as I did to the main character. The romance felt forced and the Prince was so weak. However, the new love interest that was introduced at the very end was intriguing

so the writing was pretty good, i really enjoyed reading because it wasn’t overly complicated and still beautiful writing. the characters were a little strange but overall i liked them. the only real qualms i had with this book was the fact that it was a pretty slow paced book until the last fifty pages when so much started to happen way too quickly and the book is so long i feel like some things should have been edited out to make more room and allow for more description of the events at the end. but i will definitely be reading the next book!!
