What a wild ride this series is. I was so despondent at the end of the last volume, I couldn't picture where the story would go next. So when I opened the first page to a sign that reads "Welcome to Abortion Town!" I was reminded that with Saga, it's best to expect the unexpected. Any conversation about abortion is always timely, but it definitely feels weighty given the current Supreme Court situation. I appreciated the way it wove through the story, the way so many important issues are approached in this series, with grim humor and gratuitous violence.

In terms of characters, Petrichor is officially one of my faves. I hesitate to label any of the characters that way because they tend to die horrifically after I get attached, but that's kind of the thing with Saga. So it's too late, and I'm obsessed with her.

In terms of least favorite plot, The Will's story has been a weak point for me for quite some time. In my opinion, it feels like his issues are kind of recycled throughout, so that was the part of this volume I found least compelling.

It was nice to end this one on a more promising note, and I'm excited to be almost caught up with the series!
