probably my least favorite of the series. horrible pacing and very little bearing on the rest of the series despite what actually happened.

This was a tweener setting up the action for book 4. Still,, there was a lotta action happenin'. The irritating part is that I hafta wait 6 days to get my hands on the next story!

I love sassy Halt! I love Halt in general but sassy Halt is perfect. His grumpy mood and bitchy attitude is what I live for.
Anyway, enough to Halt. This book is probably my favorite in the series! I hate that Halt and Will are separated but Halt and Horace together is perfection! I loved when we got to follow those two as they came to the rescue of Will and Evelyn.
I also love who Flanagan writes emotion, how he’s not afraid to write about his character crying. Every character in these books are so real and have so much depth.
Crowley breaking because Halt decided to leave was almost too much. And Gilan’s attempt at following him was just showing how much these people care about each other.
