Song: Out To Get You by James

This is in my top 10 favorite books. I’ve read it several times.

enjoyed more than expected. taut little thriller

Entertaining, but not very memorable. About halfway through I realized this book seems very familiar. Turns out I read it several years ago!

Interesting idea, good action.

Meyers’ characters are improving as she writes, I still don’t like them very much. I find them either annoying or unbelievable. I would give this book 3.5 stars because of the interesting plot, and how well it would do as a stand alone novel. What would step it up is a greater motive for the characters that’s not some sort of “unexplainable gut feeling.”

I’m searching for new bed time reading authors, and this book was recommended to me by a local bookshop, as I like Baldacci and Child. This is a book of peaks and troughs, fast action and slow padding. I ended up reading late into the night to finish the last chapters - but now, the next day, I can remember little of the climax. It was ok. I’m still searching for a new author.

I really enjoyed this one.

If you’re looking for realistic literary fiction this isn’t it.  It is, however, an interesting and engaging story.  Say what you will about Stephenie Meyer, but she’s a good story teller
