the fact this is only volume 2 has me on the edge of my seat in anticipation, urasawa’s works are always so unpredictable in the best ways. i’m so invested.
I would take an entire series of Shogun in Bangkok.
I’m absolutely in for the long haul. Did not do for me what number one did but still solid world building, movement through time and continued unraveling of where we think we might be going. It’s a fine line between building and also moving and this one strays a bit, but hooked I remain.

"That time when I was trying to conquer my fear and got pushed over that waterfall... I plunged into this dark, airless world, sinking deeper and deeper... And I thought I'd keep sinking forever, all the way down to Hell... But I looked upward. And I saw light shining. I strained to reach that light with everything I had. And at the surface there was air again... But it wasn't Heaven I'd reached, or Hell - it was just 'right here,' It was just plain old reality."
