The story gets more intriguing in volume 2. Now that I have a better idea of where the plot is heading, I'm enjoying the heck out of this series. A cult called the Friends is taking over the Japanese government and committing terror attacks on the world based on a book of prophecies written by 9-year-olds in 1969. Kenji must figure out which shadowy figure from his childhood is behind it all. Plus, new character Otcho is just brilliant.

Fantastic second volume, really looking forward to reading the third. Not quite sure how it’s going to last as long as it does but I am enjoying the ride anyway. We get to find out more about the Friends & yet more mysteries are teased at the same time. We have a time jump also as events move forward.
