Wow, I was definitely not looking at the end person! I kinda figured out most of this prior to the read especially we went however the ending was a shock!
This whole series was actually quite disturbing! Incestuous relationships made it difficult to read!

I like the mystery aspect of this book… but the whole relationship in it is just too incestuous . It really put my off the entire series.
Grave Secret
4 Stars
When Harper and Tolliver travel home to Texas, the secrets of the past come back to haunt them. Tolliver’s father is out of jail and trying to worm his way back into his children’s lives; new evidence in the disappearance of Harper’s sister comes to light and a unexpected grave reading has deadly consequences.
The plot revolves around two seemingly unrelated mysteries, the murders of a wealthy oil magnet and his young caretaker alongside the case of Cameron Connelly. Although the explanations come as somewhat of a surprise, the twists and turns are very compelling and make perfect sense given the characters and the circumstances.
Harper and Tolliver’s romance goes from strength to strength and the obvious love, trust and affection between the two is a highlight of the story. Tolliver’s faith in and acceptance of Harper abilities as well as his loyalty to her makes him one of my favorite heroes. Likewise, Harper’s prickly nature and uncompromising love for Tolliver make her particularly endearing.
All in all, a satisfying conclusion to the series with a great sense of closure but I’m sad to see it come to an end. Looking forward to reading more about Manfred in the Midnight, Texas series and will also listen to the Aurora Teagarden books to get my Charlaine Harris fix.

Though it might under other circumstances annoy me to see the end of a very intriguing series, with an appealing premise, a personable protagonist, and a strong underpinning of nasty storyline, I can appreciate that this book winds up the adventures of Harper Connelly pretty satisfactorily. We have our answers, the resolutions to our characters arcs, and all these things woven into a final shape in a very complicated but detail-oriented fashion. Kudos to the writer for not just drizzling on with diminishing returns ... this time. Sookie, I'm looking at you.
A fantastic finale to the Harper Connelly quartet, Grave Secret continued the tradition of keeping me guessing for as long as Charlaine Harris wanted me in the dark.
If you find the Sookie books to be a bit silly, and maybe too fluffy, I highly recommend this series. It's dark, serious, yet doesn't stop moving. Harris also sneaks in some great moments of black comedy, too. I can only hope that Harper gets as much attention as Sookie, she's a fantastic character.

Another good one in this series. My only tiny issue was that it's following the same formula, yet again. Its one that works, but this time I actually just about predicted the ending, which I hadn't been able to do before. But still a great beach read. :)
