I’ve watched the movie and seen the series, but every time I looked at this book I couldn’t get myself to read it. Now in quarantine, I thought, why not? And what can I say? I hate myself for not reading it sooner and ordered the entire boxset. Lovely story and can’t wait for the next one

Jace and Clary would've made such a cute couple but unfortunately the plot twist totally crumbled the shipping. The novel was well composed and didn't lack any slow or boring events.

Re-read:

Upon rereading it, my opinion hasn't changed much. I still love how this first book crafts and sets up a complex and super interesting world! Yes it's not the best book ever written and Clary and Jace are still an OTP I do not get but there's so much more to this story than them and I love it!
