Ok wow. I did not expect this books to fly by like this. I feel like I started it and it just ended. It took me for a few loops there at the end. I thought I had it all figured out. It made me completely rethink that, and then took me in a different direction again. I have already started the next book and am several chapters deep. It's all over for me. There is nothing but this series now.

Took me a while but I have FINALLY got over my reading slump and finished City of Bones by Cassandra Clare! It’s definitely one of my favorite books this year so far, I wish I would’ve just kept reading instead of putting it down and not getting into the mood to read because this book any other time I would’ve finished within a week it was that good. I did have to rate it 4 stars out of 5 however because I feel like she used a lot of the same words in a lot of the book and it started to sound boring and repetitive. Also, in the beginning I kind of groaned at the whole love triangle between Clary, Simon and Jace that I really didn’t think it needed and by the end of the book I truly believed still that it wasn’t really a plot device that she really needed to bring up to make it a better story than it already is.
Now for the nice part of my review! I absolutely loved how the book started out with the action. It caught my attention right away and I knew it was going to get me to want to see what happens next. Also, Cassandra was able to develop the characters still even though there was a lot going on and you still got to know who they were and I was able to pick who I liked and who I didn’t because that’s my favorite part. However, she kept me on my toes with that too! The characters I thought were going to be the “good guys” and some of the ones that I thought weren’t was totally not what I had predicted which keeps it VERY interesting! I can’t wait to read more on the series and see what happens!

Je, jeje, jejeje… si os digo que este fue el libro 8 leído este año… ¿veis algo de retraso en las reseñas? A ver, a ver. En mi favor diré que sí he adelantado todas las reseñas de colaboración, ya que tienen prioridad en la cuenta. Y me gusta enseñaros más cositas relacionadas con libros que no solo reseñas de libros.
Este libro era la preciosa idea de @booksbyainoa de leer en LC toda la saga de “Cazadores de sombras”. Sí digo que me apunté superentusiasmada, también diré que no me ha estado dando mucha vida con mis libros y mis clubes de lectura como para llegar (sorry not sorry). Este libro CASI lo entrego tarde, pues claro. Así se fueron retrasando todos hasta que no he llegado.
Repito: esto es una relectura y no puedo evitar amarlo tanto como al principio o incluso más, porque ya he podido conocer cómo continuará, aunque hay partes que pierden esencia (el final cofcofc).
Quien no conozca la historia, Clary se va de fiesta y ve a unas personas raras matando a algo, donde desaparece el cadáver tras su muerte. Al denunciarlo a los seguratas del local, y aun estando los chicos justo enfrente suya, parece que es la única que puede verlos.
Al volver a su casa tras encontrarse por segunda vez con uno de esos chicos, Jace, descubre que su madre ha sido secuestrada y hay un demonio en su casa. Después de ese encuentro, la vida de Clary cambia por completo y empieza a conocer más del mundo de fantasía al que pertenece su familia y ella por herencia.
No es ninguna sorpresa que he seguido enamorada de los personajes, de la historia, de todo. Seguiré estándolo por los siglos de los siglos. “Harry Potter” y “Cazadores de sombras” las puedo considerar las mejores sagas que he leído y leeré nunca.

Going into reading this book i was thinking that this was going to be a really crap book cause judging on all the review i read on this book people either love or hate it. But this book is undoubtably one of the best books ever!!!!!!!!! The concept of shadow hunters and the shadow world is fresh and unique, the author makes you fall in love with the charecters and the growing love story is bitter sweet and not to suger coated. The story is definatly unpridictable and not cliche at all, their are alot of twist and turns and suprises in this book.
Althought the book starts off kinda slow it gets better and better as the book progresses on and i promise that one you get throught the first few chapters you'll start loving the story. This book is filled with adventure and action and is different from most teen books out their, you'll like this book is u like books like percy jackson, twilight, hunger games, fallen,halo and fallen
