I know nothing about poems, so I am going to try to rectify that in 2022. Why did I pick Frost to begin my journey? I wish I could say it was due to his use of plain speak or how he makes poetry from the ordinary, but it was really due to chance. Chance and the fact that with my limited knowledge of poetry I know “The Road Not Taken” and it resonates with me. I enjoyed this book as a beginning into reading poems.

I am going to refrain from rating this book, and poetry in general. I think there are quite a few things that play a role in how one perceives and understands poems.
I thought this would be a cute simple poem especially since it is a Taylor Swift lyric in ' 'tis the damn season' (which is from one of my favorite albums) where she says "and the road not taken looks real good now". I think though it may just be a little poem I think it really has a good meaning to it that could be analyzed for hours.
Took the road less traveled (actually read the poetry book my sister got me two years ago after I said I wanted to read more poetry) and it has made all the difference (now I know more than two Robert Frost poems 🙂)

I don't know what possessed me to read this, in all honestly. I just got caught up with the thought I had given up poetry altogether after school. (All these poems they had given us were so awful-- about god and such--- and I got sick of it).
However, I've been trying to read other things and I figured why not.
