hopeful inspiring reflective

This is a poetry book so a lot of the review criteria doesn't apply, yet it felt like linearity carried through the way the poems were arranged, which I thought was cool.

Memorable Quotes
Birches
“I’d like to get away from earth awhile
And then come back to it and begin over.
May no fate wilfully misunderstand me
And half grant what I wish and snatch me away
Not to return. Earth’s the right place for love:
I don’t know where it’s likely to go better.
I’d like to go by climbing a birch tree,
And climb black branches up a snow-white trunk
Toward heaven, till the tree could bear no more,
But dipped its top and set me down again.”

The Road Not Taken
"Two Roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry i could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth"

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

The Sound of Trees
"I shall set forth for somewhere,
I shall make the reckless choice
Some day when they are in voice
And tossing so as to scare
The white clouds over them on.
I shall have less to say,
But I shall be gone."

The Tuft of Flowers
"I looked for him behind an isle of trees;
I listened for his whetstone on the breeze.
But he had gone his way, the grass all mown,
And I must be, as he had been,--alone,
As all must be,' I said within my heart,
Whether they work together or apart."

Robert Frost writes poems that always seem to have a message that is deeper than what the eyes can read.

In his poems are, intricate and atmospheric meanings that are written in such a way that allow me to dwell so much deeper within them. The poet has a major theme in all of his poems and that theme is nature. Nature is something that Frost could always relate to. In nature Frost sees life, people, and situations in life.

Frost’s sentence structure is long and complicated. Many meanings of his poems are not revealed to to you at first glance, but only after close introspection of the poem. The true meanings contained in Frost’s poems, are usually lessons on life. Frost uses symbolism of nature and incorporates that symbolism into everyday life situations.

Being able to deeply describe nature in a way that people love is something that Frost has mastered. Nature is something that is beautiful and most people take it for granted.

I really enjoy Frost's poetry. I find as I read more and more poetry, I prefer classical stuff for the imagery and how it sounds out loud.

"I'd like to get away from earth awhile
And then come back to it and begin over.
May no fate wilfully misunderstand me
And half grant what I wish and snatch me away
Not to return. Earth's the right place for love:
I don't know where it's likely to go better."
