So no Scrappy Doo yet, which I honestly don't mind. I think they did a good job with the plot of this issue, too. I was worried after the last one that the story would be slow going with not much getting accomplished in each new installment, but there was enough progress made plot/character development-wise to satisfy me. The artwork was pretty good, and even Fred was better in most panels.
Also, in this issue I realized that what bothers me about Fred isn't really that he's "ugly." It's that out of all of the main characters, he least resembles the original Fred. His face is not consistently drawn, bouncing back and forth between good and bad. This is also one of the first times where I felt like we got a better glimpse of his personality - taking charge and trying to problem solve. That was one of the things I've always liked about his character, along with how he is easy going, and up until #5 story, I felt like we were missing that.
