“Dance with me”.

This book was absolutely NOT what I was expecting, but in a great way. House of Salt and Sorrows is part fantasy, part psychological, part supernatural, part suspense all rolled up into a hauntingly beautiful retelling of a fairy tale.

this was really close to being a favourite but the book is so so good; 12 dancing princesses with spooky gothic lighthouse vibes. i really enjoyed it c:

I didn't know much about this one going in, which is how I like it. I think it took some crazy turns I did not expect and I couldn't put it down all day. I am intrigued to read more from this author.

This was a surprise 5 star for me. I went into it without hearing much about it and was expecting just a silly little YA romp. I was so so so wrong. I couldn't recommend this book enough, just perfect.

Did you grow up with the classic piece of cinema, Barbie and the Twelve Dancing Princesses? (i.e. did you have taste?) Then this is the book for you. I kept picturing the characters as the characters from the Barbie movie so that was the only distracting part...
