This was a nice read that I can see why so many people say this is one of their favorite children's books from childhood. Maybe it's because I'm older when I first read this book but I thought it was average. I was kind of bothered whenever Pippi makes people upset or angry that she would always blame her mom's death, her father being gone, and her upbringing for not acting in a way that the person she's talking to would accept her lackings. I understand that what she says is true but it sounds like a crutch to me. I'll probably read the rest of the books in the series since this series is on my bucket list of "to-read series."

Ich sehe gerade mein 5-Jähriges Ich im Pippi Langstrumpf Kostüm vor mir. Und mein 6-Jähriges. Und mein 7-Jähriges. Ihr erkennt ein Muster, ich war nicht sonderlich kreativ mit den Faschingskostümen. Ich fand Pippi Langstrumpf als Kind super. Da war mein Leben noch unkompliziert. Idyllisch.
Und jetzt ein "paar" Jahre später lese ich das Buch wieder, um es dann für mein allerletztes Pädagogikseminar - zu Recht - auseinander zu nehmen. Wobei ich ja anscheinend noch die weniger rassistischen Karten gezogen habe im Gegensatz zur Reise ins Taka-Tuka-Land. Vertretbar sind manche Sachen trotzdem null.
Eine Sache, die mir unabhängig davon aufgefallen ist, ist das mir Pippi bisschen sehr auf die Nerven gegangen ist. Was ich als Kind lustig fand, hoffe ich jetzt nicht als Kind im Klassenraum sitzen zu haben. Plutimikation und so...
P.S.: Der Zirkusdirektor hat einfach das Seil los machen, auf dem Pippi balanciert hat. Wäre sie nicht so artistisch begabt, wäre das eiskalter Mord an einem Kind. Skandal.
