Listiga och snillrika små berättelser. Jo Nesbø gör mig inte besviken i det lilla formatet iheller. Varför man marknadsför dem som skräckhistorier är dock en gåta för mig, historierna utspelar sig i en obestämd nära framtid och tror man att den kommer att vara lysande är man nog lite naiv.
Harry Hole is not mentioned once in this collection of short stories by Jo Nesbo. And that is a good thing because we get to see what a versatile writer he is, while taking a break from the usual Oslo setting.
The backgrounds range from rock climbing, bull-running in Spain, a flight to London, an escape-room scenario, chess, rubbish collectors, and even taxi drivers.
The stories are themed under the headings of 'jealousy' or 'power' and I found them all so different but very enjoyable. I hope we get to see more of these diverse characters in future novels!

Môžem ja napísať niečo negatívne na Nesba? No nie... Stále je to môj najobľúbenejší spisovateľ.
Táto kniha je trocha iná, než ostatné knihy, ktoré som od Nesba čítala. Nejde tu len o jeden prípad, ktorému sa v celej knihe venuje a snažíte sa ho vyriešiť spolu s vyšetrovateľom.
Táto kniha je zbierka niekoľkých poviedok. Okrem Žiarlivca sú ostatné poviedky pomerne krátke. Ale aj na takom „malom“ mieste autor znova ukázal že mu do dobre píše.
Niektoré poviedky boli len takým ľahkým čítaním, kde ste (možno) vopred vedeli čo sa stane, pri iných ste sa museli poriadne zamyslieť. Poviedkam nechýbalo napätie ani zvraty.
Kniha by sa mohla páčiť tomu, kto s krimi príbehmi ešte len začína.
Aj keď sa mi séria s Harry Holeom páčila viac, ani táto kniha nedostane negatívne hodnotenie.

This book is a collection of several crime stories with different motives. I honestly expected more, some stories were very repetitive and lost in irrelevant details. In spite of everything I did not dislike it but I definitely would not read it again.
Was really good honestly just not my thing. The stories were gripping but it just doesn’t feel like how I want to spend my time if that makes sense. If you like short fiction with fun plot twists then you should check it out. Good writing!
